The Valterra B8379DE is a complete above ground pool filtration system, pairing a 70 square foot Blue Devil™ cartridge filter with a 1HP Blue Devil™ pump in one matched, ready-to-install combo pack. Designed to take the guesswork out of system selection, this combo ensures the filter and pump are perfectly sized to work together for optimal circulation and water clarity. The 1HP pump is engineered for higher efficiency and minimal noise, featuring a see-through strainer cover and a handle-equipped cover for quick, tool-free basket access. The 70 square foot cartridge filter uses genuine Reemay® filter media to capture fine particles and debris, delivering consistently clear water with no sand or DE powder required. Together, these components provide an economical, low-maintenance filtration solution for above ground pools of all sizes.
- Matched Combo for Optimal Performance: Pairing the Blue Devil™ 70 sq. ft. cartridge filter with the Blue Devil™ 1HP pump eliminates compatibility guesswork, ensuring the system is properly sized and balanced for efficient, reliable above ground pool filtration right out of the box.
- Genuine Reemay® Cartridge Filter Media: The 70 sq. ft. cartridge element is made with genuine Reemay® non-woven filter material, delivering superior fine particle capture and consistently clear water without the mess or maintenance demands of sand or D.E. filtration systems.
- High-Efficiency, Low-Noise 1HP Pump: The Blue Devil™ 1HP pump is engineered with advanced technology for improved energy efficiency and quiet operation, making it well-suited for residential settings where noise reduction matters during extended daily run cycles.
- See-Through Strainer Cover with Handle: The pump features a clear strainer cover for easy visual inspection of the basket without disassembly, along with a built-in handle for quick, tool-free cover removal during routine cleaning and maintenance.
- Low-Maintenance Cartridge Filtration: Unlike sand or D.E. systems, cartridge filtration requires no backwashing — simply remove, rinse, and reinstall the cartridge element, reducing water waste and simplifying the overall maintenance routine for above ground pool owners.
