The TechKo S187D Safe Pool Alarm provides continuous, always-on entry monitoring for any gate, door, window, or sliding door leading to a pool or spa area. The moment a protected entry point is opened more than 1/2 inch, the magnetic contact breaks and instantly triggers a piercing 110–115 dB six-tone alarm siren — no arming required. Two included bypass buttons allow adults on either side of the entry point to temporarily disable the alarm for 8 to 12 seconds for convenient passage, while a patented secondary sensor lets sliding glass doors remain open for ventilation while still protecting through the screen door. ETL certified and fully compliant with UL 2017 pool safety standards, the S187D is inspector-approved and meets Child Pool Safety Law requirements. IP65 weather-resistant and battery operated (one 9V battery, not included), it mounts easily with included adhesives and hardware — no hardwiring required. Backed by a three-year limited warranty and named Better Homes & Gardens Best Gate Alarm of 2024.
- Always-On 110–115 dB Six-Tone Alarm: The S187D is always in protection mode with no manual arming needed — the moment the magnetic contact separates by more than 1/2 inch, a six-tone siren immediately sounds at up to 115 decibels, loud enough to be heard from any room in the house.
- Dual Adult Bypass Buttons for Easy Entry: Two bypass buttons — one on each side of the entry point — temporarily disable the alarm for 8 to 12 seconds, allowing adults to pass through freely while keeping the alarm inaccessible and active for children and pets.
- Patented Secondary Sensor for Sliding Doors: An included secondary magnetic sensor lets you keep a sliding glass door open for ventilation while the screen door remains closed — the alarm only triggers when both doors are opened simultaneously, eliminating false alerts.
- UL 2017 Compliant & ETL Certified: Fully certified by a third-party testing laboratory and compliant with UL 2017 and Child Pool Safety Law standards, making it inspector-approved for new pool builds and pool safety inspections in most jurisdictions.
- IP65 Weather-Resistant & Easy No-Wire Installation: Rated IP65 for weather and water resistance, the S187D mounts on wood or metal gates, door frames, and windows using included adhesives and hardware — no hardwiring or electrician required, with a built-in low battery LED indicator and a three-year limited warranty.
