The 11” square lid is a heavy-duty lid designed to be used with 2” pavers. This lid can also be used to Hide a Skimmer lid. It is better if used on thicker couplings or decking. Pouralid Square Skimmer lid comes with 2 parts, a square collar and a square bowl. The collars fit onto almost all skimmers. When laying out the deck work, you will want to remove the pre-existing collar. Then, put our collar in its place and into the skimmer throat where the basket goes. If the collar sits too tall, then you can trim the skimmer throat and the collar will hide the rough edge. You can use strong tape to preset the collar to finish the surface elevation until the concrete is poured. You want to keep the skimmer lid separate at time of pour. After all the concrete is finished and the skimmer lid is filled, you should clean out the collar and wipe off the skimmer lid’s exposed plastic. Then, set it back into the finished collar and this will create a strong masonry lid.
