Stetson Float Valves are easy to use when installing into Pouralid Water Level Systems or other water features. You always want to use Teflon tape on the threads and wrap the tape around the threaded nipple 5 to 6 times, then the float will thread into the water feature. To tighten it up, you can wrap it up in a rag and tighten. The hood scoop on the valve should face down with the float arm coming out and up. Loosen the wing nut by using your finger to lift the float arm up into the off position and set the float bottle to the 8:00 or 9:00 o’clock position. After filling stops, you may need to lower or raise the float to the desired water level and tighten the wing nut.
Highlights
-
Simple Installation Process: Stetson Float Valves are easy to install in Pouralid Water Level Systems and other water features. Use Teflon tape on the threads, wrapping it 5 to 6 times, then thread the float valve into the system for a secure fit.
-
Tightening for a Secure Fit: To ensure the valve is properly tightened, wrap it in a rag and secure it by hand. The hood scoop should face downward, with the float arm positioned outward and upward for optimal function.
-
Adjustable Float Arm for Water Control: The float arm can be easily adjusted by loosening the wing nut and lifting the arm into the off position. Position the float bottle at the 8:00 or 9:00 o’clock setting for effective water level control.
-
Fine-Tuning Water Levels: After the water stops filling, you can adjust the float arm to raise or lower the water level as needed. Once the desired level is set, simply tighten the wing nut to maintain the correct water level.
