The Hayward SPX1500CAP is a genuine OEM strainer housing and basket assembly engineered as a direct replacement for Hayward Power-Flo, Power-Flo LX, and Power-Flo II pool pump series. Serving as the first line of defense in the pump system, the strainer housing holds the included debris basket in place to intercept leaves, hair, and larger solids before they reach the pump impeller — protecting internal components and maintaining consistent water flow. Stamped SP-1515 on the side, this housing measures 5-5/8 inches inside diameter and 9 inches in length, matching OEM dimensions for a precise, leak-free drop-in installation. Note that this assembly includes the strainer housing and basket only — the pump trap lid and lid O-ring are sold separately. Not compatible with Hayward Power-Flo Matrix pumps.
