Smoother flow, less strain on your pump. The Hayward EcoFlo EFC3225SW is a genuine white 90-degree sweep elbow with two identical socket ends — each 2.5 in. inner diameter and 3.5 in. outer diameter — that connects your Hayward equipment union to your pool plumbing. Its long-radius sweep shape turns the water gently instead of with a hard, abrupt bend, so it cuts turbulence and head loss and helps your pump move water more efficiently. It slips right onto the Hayward EcoFlo union (SPX3200UNKIT) used on TriStar, EcoStar, and NorthStar pumps, and also works with Universal H-Series heaters, SwimClear filters, and Summit unions that share the same union.
- Efficient plumbing turn: Makes a smooth 90-degree transition between your Hayward union and pipe with minimal flow restriction.
- Reduces head loss: The sweep (long-radius) design lowers turbulence compared with a standard sharp elbow, which can save pump energy.
- Genuine Hayward part: An exact-fit EcoFlo fitting, not a generic substitute.
- Wide compatibility: Fits the Hayward EcoFlo union on TriStar, EcoStar, and NorthStar pumps, plus Universal H-Series heaters, SwimClear filters, and Summit unions.
- Confirm your equipment uses the Hayward EcoFlo union (union nut, connector, and gasket from the SPX3200UNKIT kit).
- Dry-fit first: one 2.5 in. socket end seats onto the union connector; the other identical socket end takes your pipe.
- Solvent-weld the joints with PVC primer and cement, keeping the elbow oriented so your plumbing routes cleanly.
- Hand-tighten the union nut over its gasket — snug only, do not over-tighten.
- Prime the system, run the pump, and check the connections for leaks.
- This is the sweep elbow fitting only. The union nut, connector, and gasket come in the Hayward SPX3200UNKIT union kit, sold separately.
