Deck-O-Seal Pour Grade Pool Deck Joint Sealant | 96 oz

Deck-O-Seal Pour Grade is a two-part, polysulfide-based joint sealant for expansion joints in pool decks and horizontal concrete. It pours and self-levels into the joint, then cures to a firm, flexible rubber that stretches or compresses up to 25% as the slab moves. Available in Gray (4701032), Desert Tan (4701033) and Dura-White (4701031).

Joint Sizes & Coverage

• Minimum joint width: 1/4". Do not use in joints narrower than this.
• Maximum joint width: 1". Joints over 1" wide require REZI-WELD LV primer.
• Sealant depth: Never less than 1/4" or more than 1/2". Maintain a 2:1 width-to-depth ratio.
• Coverage per 96 oz kit: 231 ft at 1/4" x 1/4" · 106 ft at 1/2" wide x 1/4" deep · 58 ft at 1/2" x 1/2" · 29 ft at 1" x 1/2".

Not Compatible With

• Underwater or below the waterline: Use Deck-O-Seal 125 or Deck-O-Seal Gun Grade instead.
• Asphalt: Cannot be used in asphalt pavement or with asphalt-impregnated joint filler.
• Painted surfaces: Paint is not recommended over any Deck-O-Seal product.
• Aquatic life: Not recommended for use in ponds or tanks holding fish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Deck-O-Seal Pour Grade be used underwater or below the waterline?

No. Pour Grade cannot be used underwater. For joints below the waterline, W.R. Meadows specifies Deck-O-Seal 125 or Deck-O-Seal Gun Grade instead.

How much will one 96 oz kit cover?

Between 29 and 231 linear feet, entirely depending on joint size. A typical 1/2" wide by 1/4" deep pool deck joint gets about 106 feet from one kit. A 1/2" x 1/2" joint gets 58 feet.

Do I need backer rod?

Almost always. Sealant depth must stay between 1/4" and 1/2" at a 2:1 width-to-depth ratio, and backer rod is what holds that depth. W.R. Meadows specifies Kool-Rod or Deck-O-Foam for this. Joints deeper than that waste sealant and perform worse.

How long before it cures?

Tack-free in about 4 hours and firm and rubbery within 24 hours at 77°F. Keep it dry for at least 24 hours after application — cooler temperatures extend cure time. Once mixed you have roughly one hour of working time, so mix only what you can place.

Which colour should I choose?

Gray (4701032) suits standard grey concrete and most poured decks. Desert Tan (4701033) suits warm-toned pavers, sandstone coping and coloured concrete. Dura-White (4701031) suits white coping, light travertine and bright decks. All three are the same sealant.

What is the difference between Pour Grade and Gun Grade?

Pour Grade is self-leveling and is meant for horizontal joints like pool deck expansion joints. Gun Grade is non-sag and holds its shape, so it is the one for vertical or sloped joints and for below-waterline work.
