Then Cleans All of It. Ultrasonic sensors build a map of your pool on the first run. FlexiPath 2.0 then picks the path pattern that fits your shape: S-pattern, grid, Y-shape, edge, or descending. It climbs walls, scrubs the waterline, handles slopes and elevated ledges, and avoids ladders. Downward sensors keep it from driving off raised platforms.

Full App Control. Auto mode reads debris load and adjusts suction on its own. Eco stretches runtime to 5 hours on the floor. Max runs full power for a deep clean. Pair the optional HydroComm Pro and you can switch modes, check battery, and recall the robot to the surface while it is still underwater.

Both. The X1 Pro Max is the one Aiper Scuba model with a dedicated surface mode. It floats and skims leaves, pollen, and insects for up to 10 hours per charge, then can switch to floor, wall, and waterline cleaning. Other Scuba models (S1 Pro, V3, P1) clean underwater only.
In-ground pools up to 3,230 sq ft or 100 ft in length. Concrete, plaster, fiberglass, vinyl, and tile. It handles slopes, elevated platforms, and beach-entry ledges, and it is rated for salt pools up to 50,000 ppm.
The Scuba X1 Pro Max robot, wireless charging dock, DC charger, retrieval hook, extra 3 micron MicroMesh filter, manual, and quick start guide. The Aiper Caddy (for rolling the dock around) and the HydroComm Pro (underwater app control and water monitoring) are optional add-ons sold separately.
The Aiper app works over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when the robot is on the surface. To send commands while it is submerged, such as switching modes or recalling it to the edge, you need the optional HydroComm Pro floating relay. Without it, you set the mode before the cycle and the robot surfaces on its own when done or when the battery is low.
Up to 5 hours of floor cleaning in Eco mode, about 3.5 hours in Max mode, or up to 10 hours in surface-only skimming mode. A full charge on the wireless dock takes about 4 hours.
The X1 Pro Max adds surface skimming, 9 motors instead of 4, 8,500 GPH instead of 6,600, 40 sensors instead of 26, and covers 3,230 sq ft instead of 2,150. Both share the 180 and 3 micron filtration and FlexiPath navigation. If your pool is under 2,150 sq ft and surface debris is not a daily problem, the X1 Pro is the lighter and lower-cost choice.
